04.17.10*v i d e o* our ep release show was a smashing success. thank you to all who played and even more to all who came. here's one of our newest songs it was inspired by point break it is called cliffs on both sides 03.21.10 b r e a t h e I can guarantee that today is a day that I will remember for the rest of my life. James and I both began to play music eight years ago. I can clearly remember the first day we spoke of starting a band in the locker room of our ninth grade P.E. class. Music had already shaped us both in so many ways, but we had no idea what it had in store for us. We used to crudely fumble through covers of Tool's "Sober" and Stone Temple Pilots' "Plush" for hours on end, slowly but surely honing our technique. It was absolutely terrible. We eventually started writing our own music, with different combinations of great friends rotating through every possible role, but nothing ever worked. We changed singers and songwriters, names and styles, and it never felt right. When James had to move to the Virgin Islands with his mom, I thought he was never coming back. I felt crushed and hopeless, like everything we had worked towards would not be worth it anymore. I started this dream with him and didn't want to finish it with anyone else. After a year though, he did return. Neither of us had any money and I swear it was the coldest damned winter I have ever experienced. Getting on our feet was a struggle that brought us closer together and cemented us as brothers for life. We began practicing our old songs, wrote a few new ones, and played our first show in more than a year and a half. That is how Chris stumbled into all of this. By some odd chance, he arrived somewhat reluctantly at the little house show we played. Chris and I had played together in our orchestra back in high school, but hadn't seen each other since. James and I were looking for a bassist...and Chris was looking to learn. His passion for music matched, perhaps even surpassed our own, and he added the missing element we had been looking for all along. The three of us have been together for almost four years now, writing, living and learning together as hellocharger. We have worked hard to create something that we could be proud of, something to show you who we are and why we love what we do. Nine years in the making and tracked, mixed and mastered in under twenty four hours, these eight songs are the collection we have entitled Breathe. This is but a brief chronicle of our journey together and it serves as a sample of the days of old as well as a glimpse of what is yet to come. Enjoy. -Grant [hellocharger] 03.19.10 a little piece of home 11.10.09 progress with the process been working on two new songs we call one baseball and the other is like a horse with no name the blue moon show was nothing short of amazing no more setlists they were holding us back see you on the birthday of BRIAN KIM from GLADIATORS EAT FIRE? the twenty~~fourthhh of of november the funhouse checck the the shows 09.23.09 james hates the word "corn" been floating this one around played it live a couple times thought you'd like a taste of pepper 09.23.09 systems engaging we've been writing getting tighter like a vice just came on to let y'all know we're rocking the bit saloon twice oct 12th & 15th -grant 07.03.09 trespass been sitting on this one for some time now just trying to ensure that the lyrics were quality this is how i wrote them -grant 06.27.09 counting down the days so, today i played a show at the ska house [drums] for my friend dave fisher chad also told me the art is soon to come so i thought i would give you a small taste of breathe free download of zombies! enjoy and thank you for your patience and support -grant 06.09.09 sunset, part ii thank you to our friend sonia for taking these photos. thank you to those who came. thank you to those who have heard our new direction. 06.07.09 anxiety its more than just a paparoach song its been so long since weve played but we have new songs for you and we still cant wait to give you our ep 05.20.09 lena it started as a tale of desperation now youll see whyyy 05.08.09 the sun sets again 04.20.09 it has been done a tease of what we have done. we need a masterer to make it uniform to fit our friend chad will be doing the art you will get it soon enough 04.02.09 soliloquy its a conversation with oneself getting to know who it is you want to be 03.29.09 the beginning we enter the studio today only a few hours away i am nervous. this is a long time coming -grant 1 2 3 4 5 site is best viewed with century gothic |
